I have spent nearly my entire career in the interactive industry, beginning in 1998 when I launched a new affiliate program for OfficeMax.com. It was during my tenure there that I developed a passion for the e-commerce and digital space. Since leaving OfficeMax, I have held management posts within the e-commerce divisions of Things Remembered, Home Shopping Network (HSN), and American Greetings. I also served as President of The Web Association, a Cleveland-based non-profit trade organization, from 2006 - 2009. In 2009, I joined Progressive Lighting, the leading lighting retailer in the southeast with locations in three states. At Progressive, I was tasked with building a new e-commerce business for the 45-year old brick-and-mortar company, and led an extensive site and brand re-launch that was completed in April, 2010. Amid rapid growth, just eight months later LightsOnline.com was named to Internet Retailer's "Hot 100" List for 2011.
In June, 2011, I co-founded Alcove Brands, LLC, a niche online retailer with brands including Luxalo, and Buy Momma. In October, 2011, I joined Innotrac (NASDAQ: INOC), an Atlanta-based, best-of-breed provider of fulfillment, customer care, and strategic services to Internet Retailer Top 500 brands including Target, Ann Taylor, and J.C. Penney. Serving as the Vice President of Marketing and eCommerce, I have responsibility for all e-commerce strategy, business intelligence, corporate branding, communications, and strategic partnerships.
E-Commerce and marketing include a broad range of specialties, and I have significant experience in search engine marketing & optimization, social media, email marketing, merchandising, mobile, usability, web design, product development, brand development, and customer service.
My education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications from Ohio University, with an MBA in Marketing from Cleveland State University. I enjoy writing, travel, good wine, and finding new restaurants where both I and my vegetarian wife can find great things to eat. I am a supporter of organic products and “green” initiatives, as well as an avid (and often tortured) Cleveland sports fan. I currently live in the suburbs of Atlanta with my wife, Shannon, and two sons, Max and Carter.
